Oh No! Earthquake in Sumatra again...

While I'm having my dinner at Hafiz Corner at 8:30pm just now, I saw the news from TV3 was telling that there was a serious earthquake measuring 7.9 in magnitude happened at southern Sumatra again at about 6:17pm just now! And it causing the tremors in peninsular Malaysia, area like ampang, KLCC cand Bukit Jalil can really felt it strongly. I was in the cycling class at that point of time and may be due to this, that is why I can't really feel it >.< I still remember I experienced the tremors in 2 years back at Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), that time was also due to the earthquake happened in Sumatra...really terrible and scary. I believed this round has caused extreme damages at Sumatra again, hopefully there will be minimal of injuries happen... *namo*namo*

Raya Cookies from My Colleague ^^

Back to the office today and saw a small packet of Raya cookies on my desk. It was well packed with a cute little tag and ribbon. Guess it must be a raya gift from my colleague - Azah who are so creative in creating this kind of stuff. And bingo! My guess was right ^^ Thank you so much to Azah ^^

Alex & Phoebe (R.O.M 28.09.09)

Today marked another history moment for both Alex and Phoebe. Congratulations to the lovely couple as they've officially registered today at JPN, Putrajaya. Almost 10 years I knew Alex, as a 'aiya' sis, I definitely wanted to attend to my bro's R.O.M ceremony, eventhough not many days of AL left in this year. Together with me, 肥肥 and Vincent were also attended to the ceremony.

We depart from Alex's house around 9am heading to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara, Putrajaya. Traffic was smooth and it took us about 25minutes to reach there.

Simple and nice hand bouquet - a dozen of red roses is the eterna symbol of love. It represents "Passionate Love; I love You".

There were so many couples register today. I guess they must be arriving very early, probably at 8am. Well, I've checked with the officer that the latest time to "check-in" is at 11am subjected if you've gotten the appointment letter. So I guess I won't be reaching here too early when my turn arrive ^^ Anyway, come back to the story, there was actually a hiccup happened today. Alex forgot to bring along the wedding band. OMG! All of us were not realized it until the question pop up by Vincent while we all waiting for our turn! It's 10:30am now... What should we do??? How can a registration happen without the rings! No choice but need to rush back and get the rings here to complete the ceremony; and this important mission of course needs to pass to 肥肥 since me and Vincent needs to be with the couple for photograph session.Well, we need to wait for at least another 45 minutes then...While waiting, nothing can be done except picture time!

It was truely a fast and furious journey for 肥肥, luckily the traffic was smooth and he managed to get the wedding band and back on time to JPN. Bravo 肥肥! Now it's our turn to enter to ceremony room - "Astana Idaman".

Although it's just a simple process for the registration but it did carried the meaningful moment for everyone of us. Congratulations again to Alex and Phoebe. The tea ceremony and wedding reception will be organized in the coming weekends on the 3/10 and 10/10. More post coming soon!

Food For Thought - Madam Lim's Kitchen Restaurant

Madam Lim's Kitchen Restaurant (sounds like the famous Madam Kwan Restaurant :p), was 1 of the famous dining outlet at Tesco Mutiara Damansara according to my colleagues.

Since it's so famous, I must have a try since I rarely bump to this area. This was a late lunch right after the charity drive which was around 3pm. All of us were so hungry and quickly placed the orders to the waiter.

Myself had ordered the Siam Style Fried Rice, my favorite Sambal Udang Petai and Ice Coffee ^^ Let see how its looked like and I'll let you know my comment in a while...

Siam Style Fried Rice @RM5.90

Chicken Chop with Sweet and Sour Sauce @RM7.90

Char (Fried) Kuay Teow @RM5.90

Sambal Udang Petai @RM10 (big portion, can share among 3 persons)

Ginger Beef Kuey Teow Mee @RM6.90

Cocktail Spring Roll @RM5.90

Claypot Fish Ball Soup @RM6

Overall I think the food tasted averagely good, probably I will rate it as 7/10. But price is definitely cheap considering you are dining at a comfortable air-con place. I would recommend you people to give it a try. Food for thought, sometime it will surprise you ^^

The Wedding Reception - Jek Chee & Pui Kuan

Jek Chee & Pui Kuan hosted the wedding reception at Hee Lai Ton Restaurant (Puchong). I was another memorable night for the piggy gang and we all enjoyed very much on that night!
